During Eddy’s travels he has met with Carmel Greenberg at Clos du Val. Carmel epitomizes the expertise and skills that we want to give to our customers at NV Winery.

A quick introduction to Carmel: In 2006, Carmel relocated to California in to pursue her dream of becoming a winemaker. After obtaining her degree from UC Davis, she continued her training in the cellars of Napa Valley wineries and deepened her affinity for terroir-driven, Bordeaux-style red wines.

Now embarking upon her next journey as Winemaker of Clos du Val, Carmel has quickly employed her experience working with Bordeaux varieties and exceptional vineyards to not only continue but actively shape Clos du Val’s 50-year legacy of elegant, supple, complex, and inspiring wines.

When she is not in the cellar or vineyards, Carmel enjoys cooking, snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking around the Bay Area with her husband and two daughters. Her background in design and passion for aesthetics can be felt in all her pursuits
